‘Ask Andy Anything’ Video Series

We asked viewers to post on our Facebook timeline any questions they wanted to ask Andy Field. We shortlisted a few that we sent to Andy, and here’s what he had to say!

Q 1. Do you think it would be fun to fit the improbability drive from the Hitchhiker's Guide into the Doctor's Tardis? And if you did which Doctor should operate it?

Q2. "What's the most unconventional statistics example you have ever used?"

Q 3. "What gives you the strength and motivation to do things like write glossaries and answer helpless (and many times clueless) students' emails from around the world?"

Q4.  "Who are your musical heroes? Do you prefer playing drums or guitar? Are you a Gibson or Fender guy?"

Q5: “If you could have dinner with three people (dead or alive) who would they be and why?”

Q6: “Why the pentagram on the home page of www.statisticshell.com (which is a great resource for my students)?”

Q7: “What advice could you give my lecturers to make our stats lectures and tutorials less dry and boring?”
