Web-Based Student Study Site
This student study site is intended to enhance students' understanding of Race, Ethnicity, Gender, and Class 5e by Joseph F. Healey. Please note that all the materials on this site are especially geared toward maximizing the potential for students to learn and enhance class discussion.
The Web-Based Student Study Site contains a variety of student resources including E-flashcards, Web quizzing for students, audio and video clips, research articles for teaching and learning and Internet research projects.

Web Quizzing
The web quiz for students provides multiple choice and true/false questions to enhance students' understanding of the material. Answers are provided for each of the questions.
Flash Cards
The E-Flashcards are a tool for students to enhance their understanding of key terms outlined in the chapters. E-Flashcards may also be used as a study tool for exams and quizzes.
Internet Research Project
The Internet research projects from the textbook are available on the study site along with links to the relevant web sites.
GENERAL RESOURCES
Audio and Video Archives
Links to NPR, Frontline, You Tube, and The History Channel are included as well as other audio and video links to enhance the students' understanding of the text material. For each clip there are also discussion questions to prompt further thinking.
Online Journal Articles and Discussion
Full text research articles are presented by chapter so that students can identify the key topics covered. Moreover, the articles are accompanied by questions to help students evaluate each piece, as well as links to the journals in which the articles were originally published.
Appendix: Internet Resources
The Internet is a powerful learning tool and can be used as a supplement to course material. The Web resources provided on this study site to correspond with material discussed in the text.
Creating Visual/Photo Essays
A photographic essay assignment is included on the study site to enable students to experience visual sociology. The photographic essay is an exciting and effective pedagogical technique that is ideally suited for a race and ethnicity course.
