About the BookIntroduction to Corrections provides students with an understanding of basic concepts in the field of corrections. Designed for introductory corrections courses in criminal justice programs at two- and four-year schools, for both traditional ground and online settings, it offers comprehenisve coverage of both institutional and community corrections, with particular emphasis on the perspective of the practitioner. While coverage will include central aspects of both theory and application, the hallmark of the text will be the practicality and realism needed to fully understand today's world of corrections.
